The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh is going to conduct the entrance examination for admission to Polytechnic courses in Uttar Pradesh. All the students who wish to pursue Polytechnic Diploma, PG Diploma and post Diploma courses in Engineering and Management will need to clear the Joint Entrance Examination Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) 2023. The Council released the JEECUP Notification 2023 on the official website on 4 March 2023. UP Polytechnic Admission 2023 Eligibility
The candidates can find the JEECUP Polytechnic Admission Eligibility 2023 given below. All the applicants will need to fulfil all of the requirements in order to be eligible for admission to Polytechnic Courses.
- All the candidates will need to be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- The candidates applying for Group A Diploma in Engineering and Technology must have passed their Class 10 and must have secured at least 35% marks in it.
- For Group B Agriculture Engineering, the candidates will need to have passed their Class 10 with Agriculture as a subject.
- For Group C Home Science, Fashion Design, and Textile Design & Engineering, the candidates must have passed their Class 10 and must have secured at least 35% marks in it.
- For Group D Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practice, and Library & Information Science, the candidates must have passed their Class 12 with English and Hindi as a Subject.
- The candidates applying for Group E1 and E2 Diploma in Pharmacy, must have cleared their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have obtained at least 50% marks in it.
- For Group F M.A. in Biotechnology, the candidates must have cleared their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have obtained at least 50% marks in it.
- For Group G Post Graduate Diploma Courses, the candidates must have obtained Graduation in any of the relevant disciplines.
- The candidates applying for Group H Diploma in Hotel Management, must have passed their Class 12 with 50% of marks.
- The candidates applying for Group I Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering must have passed their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have obtained at least 50% marks in it.
UP Polytechnic Exam Syllabus 2023

- The Exam will be conducted in Offline mode for Groups A, E1 and E2 and it will be Online for all other groups.
- The exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours and will be of 300 marks.
- Each question will carry 4 marks and every incorrect answer will carry 1 mark.
- The candidates will need to obtain a minimum of 90 marks in the exam in order to qualify it.
